In September 2025, we launched a nationwide casting call to find a girl between 9 - 12 to play the lead in Dreams of an Eleven Year Old Witch, a feature film based on the true story of Alice Glaston, the youngest girl ever legally executed in England. Our casting call went to schools, clubs, casting networks, agencies and on social media.

We put 3000 young people through a tough and robust casting process, with multiple rounds of auditions, including camera tests and workshops in London.

We cannot begin to explain how much work these young people have put in and we will be eternally grateful.

We have now offered the role to one girl aged eleven years old, and our offer has been accepted! She was over-joyed, and super excited to take on the challenge of playing one of histories bravest young souls.

At the present time, Vitality Entertainment is keeping her name under wraps to ensure that she is given space to prepare prior to principle photography, however we will be publishing a name when all parties are ready to do so.

Vitality Entertainment, our producers, and safeguarding team are now working with this actress and her family to prepare her for the job and to ensure she is looked after and supported throughout.

In the meantime, we wish to congratulate our new lead, and look forward to working with her on the film from September 2026.
